Guidelines
The Farmers’ Market season during the new reality of the COVID-19 pandemic has triggered many emotions, market process changes, and market shopper guidelines to ensure safety. Our dream is to convert back to community gathering place. Until then, please adhere to the following guidelines to protect yourself and others around you:
- It is required to wear a mask while shopping for food
- Please keep a distance of 6 feet
- Please send 1 representative from your family to shop
- Hand sanitizer is available at the market for market shoppers
- There is no sampling food
- Please take advantage of the pre-ordering to avoid lines and shorten the time at the market (remember that it is a lot of extra work for market vendors)
As we know, there are many benefits for shopping at the farmers markets. Just to mention few: seasonal local produce is the most nutritious, support of local family farmers, less travel miles for food and food packaging. Added benefits during coronavirus are:
- It is safer to shop outside at open air
- Food comes directly from producer that suggest many fewer handlers of food
- It strengthens the local food chain
Please email market manager Liisi Lascarro with any suggestions or concerns and sign up for the Denville Farmers Market newsletter.
Our wishes beyond the farmers’ market setting is for all to have patience and empathy during this time of uncertainty. Embrace the ones around you and be well. Appreciate the ones who put themselves at danger to save lives. Deepest sympathies to the ones who have lost a loved one.
